Gingerbrand Haus is owned and led by Marilu Ciabattoni, a digital marketing strategist who brings a distinctly international perspective to her work. Born in Italy and shaped by experiences in the US, Turkey, and the Netherlands, Marilu eventually made Toronto her home — and her launchpad.

With a BA in English Literature and a foundation in PR & Communications, she spent years working across brand and communications roles before making a deliberate pivot to digital marketing — the field where she found she could make the greatest difference for her clients.

In 2023, an unexpected career change became the catalyst for something bigger. Rather than stepping back into someone else’s vision, Marilu stepped into her own — launching Gingerbrand Haus in 2024. It’s a turning point she shares with many of her clients: entrepreneurs who, whether by choice or by circumstance, decided it was time to bet on themselves. That lived experience shapes every client relationship she builds.

Since then, she has helped more than 50 clients find their voice online, clarify their brand, and build a digital presence that

actually reflects who they are. What sets her work apart is the data behind it: Marilu uses analytics and performance metrics to continuously refine her clients’ content strategy, so every decision is grounded in what actually works.
